Tortuguero is a network of navigable lakes and “canales” crossing the North Atlantic coast of Costa Rica from Southeast to Northwest. This park is the most important nesting ground for the green sea turtle in the Western Caribbean (high season, July-September). Its natural “canales” serve as a waterway for exploration and transportation. Extremely rich in flora and fauna, you will be able to admire the humid tropical forest full of birds, monkeys, crocodiles and turtles, among many other animals. Tabacon Resort Complex is famous for its medicinal hot subterranean mineral–waters spreading out from the volcano in different pools. Monteverde’s Biological Reserve, which is private property of almost 12,150 hectares, is located at the continental division between Caribbean and Pacific Sheds. This Reserve is protected by dense foliage, where you can find near 400 birds species (including the Quetzal), 100 mammals species and 300 orchids varieties.
